Embassy and Consulate Closings
In accordance with local customs, the Embassy of Hungary in Cairo will be closed on 25 April 2024, normal business operations will resume on 28 April, 2024.
25 years of Hungary in NATO
It was 25 years ago, on 12 March 1999 that Hungary became a full-fledged member of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). Four days later, on 16 March 1999, the national flag of Hungary was raised at NATO Headquarters in Brussels. Hungary has ever since been an active and dedicated member of the Alliance, and has been striving for the safeguarding and strengthening international peace and stability together with its 31 allies.
