The aim of the scholarship is to improve, broaden and strengthen the participants’ Hungarian language skills and knowledge regarding Hungary. Besides the intensive Hungarian language course, the Balassi Summer University offers lectures in Hungarian literature, history, geography, ethnography and history of film and culture.
The duration of the scholarship is 4 weeks, starting from 13 July 2026 to 7 August 2026.
Individuals of non-Hungarian descent who are citizens of other countries and have reached the age 18 by the start of the program may submit their applications.
