Public hours of the Consulate of the Embassy of Hungary in Cairo at the end of 2024
Please be informed that the Consulate of the Embassy of Hungary in Cairo will be closed between 20 December 2024 (Friday) and 4 January 2025 (Saturday) and will only receive Hungarian nationals in justified urgent cases.
The last date in 2024 to submit C and D visa applications at the VFS Global external visa service supplier is 18 December 2024. After this, visa applications can only be submitted at the VFS Global external service supplier with prior consent of the Embassy, in justified cases, until 5 January 2025.
Based on the Schengen Visa Code, the processing time for a C visa application is 15 days, with the possibility of an extension of 30 days, if necessary. It is NOT possible to issue emergency C visas!
No appeal to a decision can be lodged on 30-31 December 2024.
The Embassy is CLOSED during Christmas (24-25-26 December 2024) and New Year's Day (1 January 2025)!
The first workday with public hours is 5 January 2025 (Sunday).
